The protein content in the seeds ranges from 21.8% to 26%, making the chickpea not only nutritious but also a healthy product. The average yield of the variety reaches 26.9 centners per hectare, and the recommended sowing rate is 0.6-0.9 million viable seeds per hectare.
Chickpeas, or Turkish peas, are an ancient crop whose homeland is considered the Middle East. They are widely used in the cuisine of many countries, especially in Asia, North Africa, and the Mediterranean region. White-seeded chickpea varieties, including PRIVO 11, are used to prepare soups, main courses, side dishes, national dishes such as hummus and falafel, as well as in salads and canning. Flour is obtained from the pods, used for baking and preparing children's porridges, while roasted crushed beans serve as a base for sweets and briquettes.
