Tulip Yoska

The Reliability of the Triumph Class

The 'Tosca' tulip is a quintessential representative of the Triumph group, valued by professional growers for its exceptional predictability. Unlike many decorative hybrids that demand precise microclimates, this variety shows remarkable adaptability to the fluctuating temperatures typical of spring.

Visual Profile and Performance

The intense red pigment of the petals is highly resistant to fading under direct sunlight — a rare quality for tulips of this color profile. The medium-height stem provides excellent resistance to lodging, which is critical for greenhouse production or commercial cut flower cultivation. Its mid-season blooming period makes it a versatile choice for staggered forcing schedules or as a foundational element in landscape design.

Pros and Practical Considerations

• Strengths: High cup density, robust flower stalk, and good resistance to Fusarium. It is perfect for creating dense, high-market-value bouquets.
• Points of Attention: Requires strict adherence to chilling protocols for bulbs to ensure uniform blooming times.

Tosca is the optimal choice for those who prioritize a reliable, "workhorse" variety with flawless cup geometry. It does not chase exotic shapes; instead, it succeeds through the purity of its color and its resilience during post-harvest handling.
