Tulip Lizanne

Performance and Reliability: Why Choose Lisanne?

In the competitive world of cut flowers, the Triumph tulip class is often the benchmark for efficiency, and the Lisanne variety fits this mold perfectly. For the grower, it serves as a low-maintenance, high-yield asset. One of its standout mechanical traits is the uniform stem height and rigidity. You won't have to deal with excessive stretching or lodging, meaning the crop remains upright and orderly throughout the forced growing cycle. This predictability is a significant advantage when managing bench space and planning harvesting schedules.

Resilience and Operational Savings

Disease management often dictates the bottom line in tulip production. Lisanne has been noted for its robust resistance profile, showing strong natural protection against Peronospora, Phomopsis, Phoma, and rust. This built-in defense system allows for a streamlined spray schedule, reducing the reliance on chemical fungicides and minimizing labor costs associated with crop monitoring. A healthier crop from the start translates to fewer losses during the critical flowering stage.

Marketability and Post-Harvest Performance

Lisanne is defined by its vibrant yellow petals and a classic, durable tulip shape. The flower density is exceptional, ensuring that the petals stay firmly intact even after transit, which is essential for maintaining premium market value. As a late-flowering variety, it is a strategic choice for growers looking to capture the end-of-season market. Whether you are operating a large-scale facility or a boutique greenhouse, the balance of high disease resistance and structural integrity makes Lisanne an economically sound investment that minimizes manual intervention while maximizing high-quality yield.
