Hippeastrum MORNING CHARGE

Engineering Features of the Hippeastrum 'Utrenyaya Zarya'

The 'Utrenyaya Zarya' hybrid, developed by the Federal Research Centre 'Subtropical Scientific Centre of the RAS' (Georgia), represents a result of planned breeding adapted specifically for indoor environments. Its origin in Georgia provides inherent resilience to light regimes typical of temperate latitudes when cultivated in indoor conditions.

Morphometric Indices and Nutrition Balance

• Plant Height (40–50 cm): The compact habitus serves as a key advantage for pot cultivation. The ratio of peduncle height to bulb mass ensures excellent structural integrity and lodging resistance without requiring mechanical support.
• Flower Diameter (15–18 cm): The proportionality between the flower and vegetative parts is achieved through selective breeding for perianth tissue density. This technical solution prevents petal drooping upon full maturation.

Cultivation Technology

The plant's life support system requires strict adherence to cyclic dormancy. 'Utrenyaya Zarya' is physiologically tuned to controlled indoor environments. Photosynthetic efficiency under limited insolation is maintained through a specific leaf blade surface area, calibrated to the volume of standard pot systems. To achieve the upper diameter threshold of 18 cm, maintenance of a precise temperature gradient during the bulb's dormant phase is required, following established protocols for this specific group of subtropical hybrids.
