Tulip Typhoon

Professional choice: Why 'Typhoon' delivers reliable yields

The 'Typhoon' Tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a staple for professional growers focused on efficiency and disease resistance. In commercial production, the main challenge is managing fungal threats; however, 'Typhoon' demonstrates superior resistance to Verticillium, Tomato Mosaic Virus, Fusarium, and Cladosporium. This genetic resilience significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, making it a cost-effective choice for large-scale operations.

Strategic application in flower farming

• Late-season production: Being a late-blooming variety, it effectively extends the commercial harvesting window, capturing market demand after early-season stocks are depleted.
• Cut flower market: With its striking red petals and optimal stem height, this variety is highly sought after by retailers for its durability and aesthetic appeal.
• Transport and logistics: The tight bud structure ensures that the flowers retain their form during shipping, minimizing post-harvest waste.

From an agronomical standpoint, 'Typhoon' is highly predictable. Its uniform height facilitates mechanized cultivation and harvesting, which reduces labor costs during the busy spring season. Whether grown in controlled environments or open field conditions, it responds consistently to standard irrigation and nutrient regimes. For farm managers, 'Typhoon' offers a balance of robust health and commercial viability, ensuring a premium-quality product that stands up well to market standards.
