Irina

The Peony variety Irina is a perennial plant with a slender bush and sturdy stems reaching about 90 cm in height. The leaves are green and healthy, while the flower is double, crown-shaped, and anemone-like in form with a diameter of about 16 cm. The petals are large and have a soft pink coloration; in the center of the flower is a pompon made of lighter staminodia, surrounded by a ring of salmon-colored color. The flower has a pleasant aroma and belongs to medium-late varieties.

For successful cultivation of the Irina peony, it is recommended to choose a location protected from strong winds and direct sunlight, preferably in partial shade and away from large trees. The soil should be fertile and well-draining, with mandatory drainage using sand and gravel to avoid water stagnation, which is detrimental to the plant. Planting is best carried out from mid-August to the end of September, using a cone-shaped hole with a depth and diameter of about 70 cm, with a drainage layer at the bottom.

The Irina peony is excellent for creating delicate and aromatic bouquets, combined with other flowers such as Matthiola, freesia, Hasmanthus, Eustoma, Pitysorum, and bush peony roses. Due to its beauty and aroma, this peony will become an excellent gift and adornment for any floral ensemble.
