Tulip Samson

Efficiency and Predictability in Cultivation

The 'Samson' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a hallmark of industrial efficiency for both greenhouse forcing and field cultivation. This cultivar acts as a reliable asset, offering high tolerance to common horticultural errors. The combination of its height and dense bud structure simplifies logistics and ensures that harvest planning remains straightforward and predictable.

Operational Performance

• Disease Resistance: Genetic resilience to powdery mildew and downy mildew (peronospora) significantly reduces the need for intensive fungicide spraying. This translates into measurable cost savings and enables growers to maintain lower chemical usage without sacrificing market value.
• Agronomic Management: 'Samson' is highly responsive to nitrogen applications without becoming vegetative. The high stems possess excellent rigidity; when planted at the correct density, the plants remain upright on their own, eliminating the need for labor-intensive staking and supporting structures.
• Bloom Quality: The intense red pigmentation of the petals is highly resistant to solar bleaching, which is a critical factor in maintaining top-tier quality during late-season blooming.

'Samson' is designed for growers who prioritize the balance between labor inputs and the yield of high-quality cut flowers. The proven physiology of this variety minimizes crop loss and ensures a uniform, high-grade batch ready for distribution.
