Tulip Lilac Cup

Technical Potential of Lilac Cup

The 'Lilac Cup' tulip belongs to the Triumph class, the gold standard for commercial floriculture, valued for its architectural stem integrity and adaptability to controlled environment shifts. The engineering value of this hybrid lies in its proprietary genetic resistance profile, specifically developed to mitigate the impact of pathogens that typically limit greenhouse yields.

Phytosanitary Resilience

Unlike standard market cultivars, 'Lilac Cup' exhibits high-level tolerance to a broad spectrum of vascular and soil-borne infections:

• Verticillium and Fusarium Wilt: The hybrid features a hardened root-vascular mechanism that blocks fungal spore penetration, ensuring plant longevity during high-irrigation cycles.
• Cladosporium and Mosaic Virus: The cellular wall structure displays increased density, creating a natural barrier against viral invasion and necrotic spotting, which maintains peak marketability even under suboptimal greenhouse ventilation.

Morphological Specifications

The medium height of the stem provides a calculated structural balance, ensuring rigidity for the bloom without the need for additional mechanical support. The lilac petal coloration is supported by stable anthocyanin expression, preventing pigment degradation during transit. Classified as a mid-season bloomer, this tulip allows for high-precision harvesting schedules, making it a reliable asset for industrial forcing cycles.
