Rose SCH 85712

Growth Architecture: Balancing Form and Color

The breeding code SKH 85712 from the Dutch laboratory Piet Schreurs Holding is a specialized shrub rose, engineered for professional landscaping tasks. The engineering approach focuses on habit stability: the bush reaches a height of 60-80 cm, ensuring optimal ground coverage for flower beds without the need for complex, high-maintenance pruning.

Biological Specifications

• Morphology: The simple and semi-double flower forms, with a diameter of 5-7 cm, create a distinct visual rhythm that avoids the appearance of "clutter" within the bloom.
• Color Palette: The dual-toned red color scheme was selected for its high pigment photostability, which prevents fading of the petals under intense UV exposure.
• Functionality: The absence of fragrance is a deliberate design choice by originator Petrus Nicolaas Johannes Schreurs. This technical feature minimizes the attraction of pests and makes the rose an ideal candidate for placement near living spaces or terraces, where strong scents are often undesirable.

Operational Characteristics

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its continuous vegetation cycle. Unlike varieties that bloom in "waves," the SKH 85712 is programmed to produce buds throughout the entire summer season. This reduces maintenance costs and helps maintain the aesthetic integrity of the flower bed. As a product under the strict patent control of Piet Schreurs Holding, this rose guarantees genetic consistency and predictable plant behavior, provided standard agrotechnical norms are met.
