Tulip Ivory Floradale

Elite Performance for Commercial Tulip Production

«Ivory Floradale» stands out as a prime example of a Darwin Hybrid tulip, designed for large-scale operations that require consistency, robust growth, and high-quality floral stems. For professional growers, this variety is synonymous with marketability due to its classic shape and the gentle, creamy hue that remains in high demand for spring commercial arrangements.

Operational Applications and Field Strategy

• Forced Cultivation: Its height and strong stem architecture make it a reliable performer for greenhouse forcing. The variety responds well to standard temperature control protocols, allowing growers to time the bloom for specific market windows.
• Outdoor Performance: The sturdy stem makes it resilient against spring weather volatility, ensuring a uniform harvest in open-field planting systems.

From an agronomist's perspective, the strength of the Ivory Floradale lies in its adaptability. While it is a vigorous grower, it requires well-drained soil and a balanced nitrogen regime to maintain its structural integrity during the rapid growth phase. Unlike more sensitive varieties, this hybrid is less prone to stem weakness, reducing the need for growth regulators. Growers should maintain optimal spacing between bulbs to ensure adequate airflow, which is critical for preventing moisture-related pathologies in high-density greenhouse setups. By minimizing plant stress during the early emergence stage, producers can maximize the percentage of Grade A stems at harvest.
