Tulip Gander's Rhapsody

Optimized for Commercial Forcing

The Triumph tulip cultivar 'Gander's Rhapsody' is a premier choice for commercial flower farms focusing on high-quality cut flower production. Known for its strong, tall stems and elegant form, this mid-season bloomer is highly reliable in greenhouse forcing environments, offering consistent yields and predictable harvest windows.

Resilience and Disease Management

For growers aiming to reduce operational costs and chemical intervention, 'Gander's Rhapsody' offers a clear advantage through its genetic resistance. The variety shows robust tolerance to several critical fungal pathogens that typically threaten dense greenhouse plantings:

• Alternaria leaf blight
• Sclerotinia rot
• Phoma blight
• Cylindrosporium

By integrating this variety into the production cycle, managers can minimize the intensity of fungicide programs while maintaining plant health and market-grade quality. It is particularly effective for large-scale operations where plant vitality is a cornerstone of profitability.

Market Positioning and Post-Harvest Performance

Visually, the white and pink petals offer a classic yet appealing aesthetic favored by florists during the spring season. Beyond its appearance, the variety is prized for its post-harvest longevity. The structural integrity of the petals and the robustness of the stem ensure excellent durability during transport and extended shelf life in retail, maximizing the profit margins for wholesale distributors and floral designers alike.
