Tulip Frohnleiten

Efficiency and Resilience: The Case for 'Frohnleiten'

The 'Frohnleiten' Triumph tulip is an essential asset for commercial growers focusing on yield security. Its primary advantage is robust genetic resistance against critical soil-borne and fungal pathogens, specifically alternaria, verticillium wilt, sclerotinia, and phoma. For the grower, this translates into reduced fungicide expenditure and significantly lower post-harvest losses during bulb storage.

Practical Applications

• Greenhouse Forcing: With its mid-season blooming window, this variety is ideal for staggered supply chains. Its compact stature is a logistical advantage, allowing for high-density planting in greenhouse benches, thereby maximizing output per square meter.
• Landscaping: The low-growing habit makes 'Frohnleiten' a top choice for garden edging, decorative borders, and container displays. The vibrant orange hue of the blooms exhibits excellent fade resistance, maintaining high visual quality throughout the season.

Field experience confirms that 'Frohnleiten' adapts well to various soil compositions. The structural integrity of the bloom ensures that stems maintain their form and quality during transport, making it a reliable choice for commercial floriculture markets that demand consistency and durability.
