Tulip Fringed Beauty

Elegant Fringed Beauty for Your Garden

The Fringed Beauty tulip is more than just a classic spring bloom; it is a standout representative of the fringed class, distinguished by its unique texture. Its petals, adorned with dense, needle-like fringes at the edges, resemble ice crystals or delicate lace, making it a favorite for landscape designers and florists alike.

Color Palette and Form

This mid-season variety boasts a sophisticated, deep color transition, blending intense red with subtle lilac tones. Its low growth habit makes it an ideal choice for the foreground of flower beds, rock gardens, or container gardening, where the stems will not obstruct taller plant varieties.

Advantages and Resilience

Unlike many ornamental hybrids, Fringed Beauty demonstrates impressive durability. Breeders have achieved high resistance to key bulb diseases, including Fusarium and Anthracnose. This significantly simplifies maintenance: the plant requires fewer fungicide treatments and is less susceptible to mosaic virus compared to other varieties.

• Who is it for: Gardeners looking for a balance between the aesthetics of an 'exotic' flower and ease of cultivation.
• Strengths: Unique petal shape combined with high disease resistance.
• Nuance: Its short stature makes it less suitable for tall cut-flower bouquets, but perfect for mass plantings in garden borders.
