Tulip Exotic Bird

Technical Profile of the Exotic Bird Hybrid

This variety belongs to the Darwin Hybrid class, which dictates its primary engineering feature: high plant energy and stress resistance. Unlike botanical species, Exotic Bird demonstrates developmental stability even under fluctuating temperatures, making it a preferred choice for professional forcing production.

Phytosanitary Resistance

The breeding of Exotic Bird focuses on minimizing risks associated with intensive cultivation. The variety possesses a genetically embedded immunity to key pathogens that limit yield:

• Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV): barrier protection at the cellular level prevents systemic viral spread.
• Fusarium Wilt: a reinforced vascular stem system blocks the development of Fusarium mycelium, which is critical during high-density planting.
• Cladosporiosis: high resistance to leaf spot disease allows the plant to maintain its photosynthetic leaf surface until the end of the flowering cycle.

Morphological Parameters

The plant is categorized as having medium height, providing an optimal balance between peduncle length and root system nutrient area. The vivid red color of the petals is due to a high concentration of anthocyanins, which retain color saturation even when exposed to intense ultraviolet radiation. The mid-season flowering time allows for flexible integration into conveyor supply schemes, ensuring predictable commercial product output for target dates.
