Tulip Phoenix Memory

Steel character and fiery color

The Phoenix Memory tulip occupies a special niche in the Darwin Hybrid segment. Its key strength is an incredible resistance to the whims of spring weather, making it a favorite for both professional landscape designers and hobbyists looking for guaranteed results.

Why choose this variety?

• Unwavering endurance: Thanks to its Darwin Hybrid genetics, the Phoenix Memory stem resists wind exceptionally well. Unlike many large-flowered varieties, this tulip doesn't lodge after the first heavy rain.
• Rich coloration: The petals feature a deep, pure red hue. Unlike most red tulips, Phoenix Memory retains its color intensity until the very end of the bloom cycle without fading to rust or violet undertones.
• Predictability: As a mid-season bloomer, it integrates harmoniously with late daffodils or early perennials.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Advantages: High bulb multiplication rate — the variety quickly produces offsets. It is ideal for cutting; the sturdy stem and long-lasting cup allow it to stay fresh in a vase for 10–12 days.

Considerations: Like any vigorous hybrid, this variety requires good drainage. In heavy, waterlogged soil, the bulb can be susceptible to fungal diseases, so preparing a site with efficient water runoff is essential.

Phoenix Memory is the choice for those who value reliability over exotic experiments. It is a workhorse variety for eye-catching flowerbeds and commercial cultivation.
