YANKULI Iris – a compact bearded iris from the Miniature Dwarf Bearded group, developed by Galina Shevchenko. It features a short, almost stemless form and bright flowers that can be yellow or shades of purple with a characteristic purple spot on the falls.
This variety grows wonderfully in full sun conditions and well-drained soil. It does not require special soil conditions – suitable for most soil types, although waterlogged areas should be avoided; if groundwater is close to the surface, raised beds with a sand layer are recommended.
Plant YANKULI in April through autumn, as well as after flowering in summer. Distance between plants should be at least half a meter to avoid replanting. Watering is only necessary during bud formation to prolong flowering; avoid using manure as fertilizer.
