Tulip Evita

The Elegance of Late Double Tulips

The 'Evita' variety holds a prime position in professional floriculture. As a late double tulip, this hybrid is celebrated for its impeccable peony-like bloom. The dense, snow-white petals maintain freshness for an extended period, making the crop highly sought after for both high-end landscaping and industrial forcing.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

A hallmark of the 'Evita' variety is its robust biological adaptability. The breeding program focused on developing a plant with a built-in defense mechanism against common bulb diseases. 'Evita' shows remarkable resistance to:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Fusarium wilt;
• Tobacco mosaic virus;
• Cladosporium disease.

This resistance effectively lowers the necessity for intensive fungicide applications, ensuring high-quality market yields with minimal chemical intervention. Its medium stem height provides excellent lodging resistance, a critical factor for success in open-field cultivation during unpredictable spring weather.

Market Positioning

For growers, 'Evita' represents reliability. Due to its mid-season blooming period, the variety fits perfectly into harvest schedules, following the early-season crops. High multiplication rates and excellent storage stability make this variety a sound investment for nurseries focused on premium planting material. Its reputation is built on consistency and aesthetic superiority.
