Tulip April Love

Biological Potential and Breeding Profile

The 'April Love' tulip is a classic representative of the Triumph class. Its technical value lies in the combination of the aesthetic expressiveness of its rich red hue with high physiological endurance. This is not merely an ornamental crop, but a breeding product designed to minimize risks in commercial production.

Phytopathological Resistance as an Engineering Advantage

The key feature of this hybrid is its comprehensive resistance to several pathogens that traditionally limit bulb crop yields:

• Fungicidal Resilience: The genetically encoded defense against Fusarium wilt and Verticillium wilt allows the plant's vascular system to remain intact even under high soil moisture conditions.
• Viral Barrier: High-level resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus eliminates the risk of necrotic leaf lesions and bud deformation.
• Fungal Spot Protection: Resistance to Cladosporium leaf spot minimizes the need for fungicide applications during the growing season.

Agrotechnical Indicators

The mid-season flowering period and medium height of the flower stalk make this variety an optimal tool for both forcing and landscaping. The dense structure of the red petals ensures excellent transportability and maintenance of market quality after cutting. The stable development of the plant in temperate climatic zones confirms the hybrid's adaptability to temperature fluctuations during the spring season.
