Tulip Candlelight

A striking contrast for your spring garden

The 'Candlelight' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, sets a high standard for aesthetic appeal and reliability. Unlike many decorative varieties that demand constant maintenance, this hybrid is surprisingly hardy. Its main visual appeal lies in its bicolored petals: a deep, bold red that transitions into a creamy-white edge, creating a sense of volume even from a distance.

Why choose the 'Candlelight' variety?

Breeders have equipped 'Candlelight' with traits highly valued by both professional florists and home gardeners. Its primary strength is its resistance to a wide range of pathogens, including Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, and Cladosporium. While many other tulip varieties are prone to soil-borne fungal infections, 'Candlelight' remains robust, maintaining the integrity of its bloom until the end of the flowering season.

• Vitality: High resistance to viral and fungal diseases significantly simplifies maintenance and soil care.
• Structure: A large, sturdy bloom on a tall stem makes it an excellent choice for cut flowers, ensuring longevity in a vase.
• Blooming period: Its mid-season flowering time allows it to bridge the gap perfectly between early and late-blooming tulip varieties in landscape design.

It is worth noting that 'Candlelight' requires proper lighting: for the most vivid color contrast, it should be planted in sunny areas. In deep shade, the stems may stretch, and the intensity of the cream-colored edges may fade. This is an ideal choice for gardeners looking for a dependable, eye-catching variety that does not require heavy chemical maintenance.
