Tulip Bolroyal Silver

Genetic Heritage and Market Position

Bolroyal Silver is a premium representative of the Triumph tulip class, developed specifically to meet the high demands of the commercial floral market. This cultivar has earned a reputation as a reliable, high-yield performer, favored by professional growers for its consistent height and elegant, snow-white blooms. As a mid-season variety, it serves as a backbone for greenhouses targeting peak spring demand.

Resilience and Phytosanitary Profile

The primary advantage of Bolroyal Silver lies in its robust genetic profile, which significantly reduces the need for intensive chemical interventions. Breeders have successfully optimized this hybrid to withstand common soil-borne threats and viral pressures, ensuring healthier crops:

• High resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilts.
• Proven immunity against the Tomato Mosaic Virus, which often plagues ornamental bulbs.
• Strong defense against Cladosporium.

These characteristics make the cultivar an ideal candidate for large-scale forcing, where uniformity and plant health are paramount to profitability.

Applications in Floriculture

Beyond its agricultural merits, Bolroyal Silver is highly prized for its structural integrity. The tall, sturdy stems support the heavy, pristine white blossoms throughout the supply chain, ensuring that the flowers maintain their aesthetic appeal from the field to the vase. It is widely considered an industry standard for classic white floral arrangements, offering both durability and timeless elegance.
