Tulip Smiling Face

Stability and Reliability in Floriculture

When working with the Smiling Face variety, you immediately notice its robustness. As a Triumph class tulip, it demonstrates impressive resistance to common diseases. In intensive cultivation environments where fusarium or cladosporium can easily devastate crops, this hybrid stands firm, significantly reducing expenditures on fungicide treatments. For an agronomist, this means predictable results and fewer interventions required during the growing cycle.

Operational Performance

• Structure and Height: Being a tall variety, it simplifies mechanized harvesting and sorting. The stem is sturdy, holding the large, heavy bloom upright even in windy conditions.
• Biological Resistance: High resistance to tomato mosaic virus and fungal infections (fusarium, cladosporium) makes soil management and crop rotation much easier to handle.
• Forcing and Logistics: The mid-season flowering schedule allows for precise workforce management during peak demand, avoiding downtime in the greenhouse.

The intense violet color of the petals remains vibrant and does not fade under direct sun, which is critical for maintaining marketability during transport. From a logistical standpoint, this variety is a true workhorse: it is resistant to deformation, performs well in cold storage, and opens reliably when displayed for sale. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritize commercial yield and minimizing crop loss during production.
