Tulip Anna Jose

Technical Profile and Genetic Potential

The 'Anna Jose' tulip belongs to the 'Triumph' class, which dictates its core physiological traits: a robust, rigid stem and a classic goblet-shaped bud. From an agronomic standpoint, the selection of this hybrid is driven by its high adaptability to spring environmental conditions and predictable forcing behavior.

Phytosanitary Immunity

For professional flower growers, resistance to pathogens is a critical success factor. 'Anna Jose' exhibits high resilience against a complex range of soil-borne and systemic diseases. Genetic breeding has successfully mitigated the risk of infection from the following pathogens:

• Verticillium wilt: blocks the pathogen from developing within the plant's vascular system.
• Fusarium wilt: reduces the risk of bulb base decay, which is vital during high-density planting.
• Cladosporium: prevents damage to foliage and stems under high-humidity greenhouse conditions.
• Tomato mosaic virus: 'Anna Jose' shows stability against this virus, preventing necrotic spotting and leaf deformity.

Morphological Parameters and Flowering

This hybrid is characterized by mid-season flowering, facilitating efficient production scheduling throughout the spring. The petal coloration displays a stable gradient, transitioning elegantly from a soft pink to a crisp white tone. The average stem height provides both high-quality presentation and ease of automated harvesting. This height is optimized for transport, minimizing the risk of mechanical stem breakage while maintaining a balanced development between the root system and foliage surface area.
