Tulip Ariane

The Elegance of Late Blooming

The 'Ariane' tulip (class Triumph) occupies a unique niche in spring plantings. Unlike most Triumph tulips that bloom early in the season, this variety is a late bloomer, allowing growers to extend the aesthetic lifecycle of flower beds or commercial plots well after other varieties have faded.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

The key advantage of 'Ariane' is its significant resistance to a range of fungal pathogens. While many tulips suffer from high spring humidity, 'Ariane' displays robust immunity to:

• Sclerotinia (white mold);
• Peronospora (downy mildew);
• Phomopsis and Phoma, which frequently affect stems in high-density planting conditions.

This trait makes it an optimal choice for regions with erratic spring weather and high infection pressure.

Visual Traits and Practical Application

The plant is characterized by its tall stature, which sets it apart from other Triumph varieties. The pink petals feature a deep, saturated tone that resists sun-fading, maintaining commercial appeal throughout the vegetation cycle. Thanks to its sturdy peduncle, 'Ariane' is excellent for both landscaping and cut-flower production—the blooms maintain freshness in vases for an extended period, and the stems show high resistance to lodging.

Who should choose this variety? Professional floriculturists seeking a balance between high aesthetic value and minimal fungicide application, as well as home gardeners who prefer long-lasting compositions. 'Ariane' is a reliable choice that refuses to sacrifice sophistication.
