Tulip Mystery

Performance and Commercial Reliability

The 'Mystery' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a staple for professional greenhouse operations focused on high-quality cut flower production. Its commercial success is rooted in its structural integrity and reliable blooming cycles, which are vital for growers aiming for peak market seasons.

Resilience and Management

One of the primary challenges in large-scale tulip production is root-borne disease. 'Mystery' offers a distinct competitive edge due to its genetic resistance to Verticillium and Fusarium wilt. This inherent protection allows growers to reduce the intensity of chemical control programs, lowering production costs and simplifying the integrated pest management plan.

Field and Greenhouse Application

• Cut Flower Production: The medium stem height is optimized for standard industrial packaging, reducing transit damage and labor costs during harvest.
• Blooming Windows: As a mid-season bloomer, it acts as a perfect bridge in the production schedule, providing a consistent supply between early and late season varieties.
• Visual Marketability: The striking white and purple petals create high-value bunches that attract consistent demand from florists.

For optimal results, 'Mystery' requires standard chilling protocols characteristic of Triumph tulips. Its ability to tolerate temperature fluctuations during the forcing phase makes it a safer bet for greenhouse environments where precise climate control might face occasional stressors.
