Obriy Myronivskyi — an autumn-sown triticale variety, registered in the Ukrainian Plant Varieties Register since 2014. Recommended for cultivation in various soil-climate zones of the country, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 97 c/ha, and medium maturity duration. Producer — Myronivsk Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine.
The variety exhibits high winter hardiness and drought resistance, confirmed by a drought resistance rating of 9 points. It is also resistant to saline soils and shows moderate resistance to waterlogging. Obriy Myronivskyi demonstrates high resistance to major diseases: powdery mildew (9 points), rust (7–8 points), Fusarium (8–9 points), and Septoria (7 points). These characteristics make it a reliable choice for diverse growing conditions.
The grain quality of this variety is high: 1000-grain weight is 45–50 g, protein content is 12–15 %, ensuring good baking properties. The variety is suitable for both grain use in the bakery industry and for feed and spirit production during animal fattening. Recommended seeding rate — not more than 4.0–4.5 million viable seeds per hectare; optimal sowing dates — from September 25 to October 5. For maximum yield, application of main mineral fertilizers at rates N60-120P60-90K60-90 kg/ha is required.
