Triticale ELEPHANT

Winter Triticale «Slon»: A Global Collaborative Achievement

Triticale «Slon» is a testament to international breeding cooperation, combining the expertise of Russian, Australian, British, and French scientific centers. Unlike traditional domestic varieties, this hybrid is designed with a heavy emphasis on climate adaptability and structural robustness, leveraging genetic traits from diverse ecological zones.

Key Features and Performance

• High Environmental Plasticity: The hybrid effectively mitigates the impact of unpredictable early-spring temperature shifts, ensuring consistent growth cycles.
• Structural Integrity: The variety demonstrates superior resistance to lodging, a critical factor for producers aiming to maximize yields through intensive nitrogen fertilization.
• Grain Quality: Slon provides premium grain quality suitable for food processing, making it significantly more profitable than forage-only alternatives.

However, it is crucial to recognize that the hybrid demands precision. It belongs to the intensive growth category, meaning it is highly responsive to mineral nutrition but also requires consistent prophylactic fungicide treatment, especially in seasons with high humidity. Those looking for an "easy, no-input" crop may find its sensitivity to management errors challenging, as its yield potential is directly tied to the level of agronomic care.

Who Should Choose «Slon»?

This hybrid is an optimal selection for large-scale agricultural operations and professional farms focused on export-standard production. If your operation prioritizes high grain weight and stable performance under intensive management protocols, «Slon» provides the ideal genetic framework to maximize your return on investment.
