Tomato Vesna

An Early-Maturing Heavyweight for Your Garden

The «Vesna» (Spring) tomato, developed by Vladimir Dederko and Galina Botyaeva, defies the standard trade-off between early maturity and fruit size. While most early-season varieties focus on speed at the expense of size, this determinate cultivar delivers impressive, uniform red fruits exceeding 200 grams within a 90-day cycle.

Key Advantages

• High Yield Potential: Capable of producing 70–100 tons per hectare, it stands out in the determinate segment, making it a viable option for both intensive home gardening and small-scale commercial production.
• Marketable Fruit Size: Achieving 200g+ per fruit in under 90 days is a distinct advantage, ensuring your produce is ready for the market long before mid-season varieties hit the stalls.
• Growth Habit: As a determinate plant, it simplifies canopy management. It requires less intensive pruning and trellising, saving labor costs without sacrificing yield volume.

Optimal Use Case

«Vesna» is engineered for open-field cultivation. Its primary strength lies in its ability to ripen fruit before the onset of late-season blights, effectively bypassing the peak pressure of common fungal diseases. However, growers should note that to reach its full weight potential, the plant requires balanced NPK feeding and consistent hydration during the fruit-filling stage. Without proper moisture, the weight may fluctuate, so efficient irrigation is the secret to success here.

This variety is the ideal pick for growers looking for a reliable, fast-turnaround crop that doesn't compromise on the quality or the size of the final harvest.
