Sotsi Beijing Cabbage: Dutch Excellence by Wing Seed

For professional vegetable growers, selecting the right hybrid is a key factor in ensuring marketability. Wing Seed, the renowned Dutch breeding company, has developed Sotsi to meet the rigorous demands of the fresh produce market. This hybrid represents a balance between consistent agricultural performance and the high aesthetic standards required by modern retail.

Key Specifications and Market Appeal

Sotsi is engineered for growers who prioritize consistency in size and quality. It is a highly reliable choice for the fresh market segment, where appearance is the primary driver of sales. The physical attributes of the hybrid include:

• Head Weight: Ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 kg, these heads fit the perfect category for retail distribution and household consumption.
• Color and Form: The heads exhibit an attractive yellow-green coloration with an oval-round shape, ensuring high consumer appeal on supermarket shelves.
• Quality: The internal density and structure are optimized to reduce waste, providing a crisp, fresh product that survives transport with minimal handling damage.

Market Positioning and Reliability

The reputation of Wing Seed in the international market is built on the uniformity of their genetics. Sotsi is no exception; it is favored by farmers who manage large-scale production cycles. Its ability to produce uniform crops within a specific timeframe simplifies the harvesting process, allowing for efficient labor management and reduced costs.

Sotsi fits seamlessly into professional supply chains. Whether you are supplying independent greengrocers or major supermarkets, the hybrid's predictable characteristics make it a dependable asset. For growers, this means less time grading out-of-spec products and more time focusing on maximizing market returns. By choosing Sotsi, producers leverage years of Dutch breeding expertise, resulting in a product that consistently meets the expectations of both the supply chain and the end consumer.
