Vespolino

Tomato Vespolino F1 is a medium-early indeterminate hybrid of Dutch selection, developed by Enza Zaden. The plant is strong, open-type with elongated internodes and long green leaves slightly drooping. Rapid development of trusses allows forming beautiful and evenly arranged inflorescences composed of 12-13 small elongated-pear-shaped fruits weighing 18 to 35 grams. The fruits are smooth, medium-firm, deep red in color, with 2-3 seed chambers, possessing high storability and transportability, making them convenient for harvesting both in clusters and individually.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including mosaic virus (three strains) and Fusarium wilt (two strains), as well as moderate resistance to gall nematodes. Additionally, Vespolino is resistant to cracking and blossom end rot, ensuring high fruit marketability at 98.3-99.2%. The plant demonstrates excellent fruit set under various temperature conditions, making it adaptable and flexible for cultivation in different greenhouse environments.

Recommended for professional cultivation in heated glass and plastic greenhouses in extended and spring-summer rotations. The hybrid suits any type of greenhouse due to its resilience and stable fruiting. The elongated-pear shape of the fruits is maintained throughout the entire growing period, and trusses and pedicels remain fresh for a long time, enhancing the quality and appeal of the harvest for salad use.
