IVAN KUPALA

The tomato variety IVAN KUPALA is a medium-maturing indeterminate type suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The plant reaches a height of 1 to 1.6 meters and requires mandatory staking and pinching. For optimal plant formation, it is recommended to train the plant into two stems, which promotes better growth and yield.

The tomatoes have a characteristic pear-shaped form with slight ribbing and a bright maroon-red color. The weight of one tomato varies from 140 to 200 grams, and the fruits are dense, growing in clusters, with up to 7 tomatoes per cluster. Ripe tomatoes are not prone to cracking and can be stored under room conditions for up to 10 days, making them convenient for storage and transportation.

The IVAN KUPALA variety is characterized by good yield — about 3 kg of fruit can be harvested from one plant. Tomatoes are excellent for pickling and preservation, and also possess high flavor qualities when consumed fresh. For successful cultivation, light, fertile soils are recommended, along with proper agronomic practices: sowing seeds for seedlings at the end of March to early April, transplanting in the 1-2 true leaf stage, regular feeding, and watering with warm water. Seedlings are planted in open ground after the threat of frost, following a planting scheme of 70x30-40 cm, with subsequent training and staking of plants to supports.
