The 'Snowman' tomato variety is an ultra-early hybrid with a vegetation period of 85 to 100 days, allowing for a quick harvest. Determinate plants, 50 to 120 cm tall, are suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Fruits are bright red, round or slightly flattened, with smooth skin and dense flesh. Fruit weight ranges from 50 to 200 grams, making them convenient for various uses. The variety is distinguished by high fruit marketability — up to 90% of the yield is suitable for sale, with a yield of 4-5 kg per plant. One of the main advantages of the 'Snowman' variety is its resistance to a range of diseases and adverse conditions. It is resistant to blossom end rot, bacterial spot, powdery mildew, gall nematodes, and fruit cracking. Thanks to these qualities, tomatoes maintain excellent appearance and taste even under extreme weather conditions. Fruits have intense coloration and high firmness, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for processing into tomato paste, juices, ketchup, canned goods, and pickling. The cultivation technology for the 'Snowman' variety includes two main methods: seedling and direct sowing in the ground. Seeds are sown at the beginning of March into special pots, where seedlings grow for 55-70 days depending on climatic conditions and planting dates. Transplanting to open ground is carried out after soil warming and the disappearance of nighttime frosts, typically in mid-May. For successful cultivation, regular watering, fertilization throughout the vegetation period, and covering beds with plastic film for early plantings are recommended. The best preceding crops for tomatoes are legumes, root vegetables (except potatoes), onions, and cabbage. Plants prefer sheltered locations and warm climates.
