ORANGE HEART — a mid-season cabbage variety with a unique head shape resembling a beautiful flattened heart. The fruits are characterized by a neat shape and an attractive hot-honey color with a slight gathered base. The skin is dense, ensuring high storability and prolonged freshness. The bushes are sturdy with dense drooping leaves, reaching a height of about 2 meters in open ground. In the inflorescence, 3-4 fruits form, weighing from 250 to 350 grams, which can have both thin and broad-hearted shapes with gathered facets at the base. The flesh inside is dense, oily, and brittle, with a rich tomato flavor in which sweetness predominates. There are very few seed chambers and seeds in the fruits, making them especially aromatic and pleasant to taste. This variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to heat and diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation. The heads are uniform, oval, with a tender structure and juicy, crisp flesh. Cover leaves have a tender green color, while inner ones have a yellow-orange hue, giving the cabbage an attractive appearance and high taste qualities. Thanks to excellent transportability and the ability to store for a long time, the variety is suitable for various methods of use: fresh consumption, salad preparation, pickling, especially according to Korean recipes, as well as for culinary processing. The vegetation period of the variety is about 100-110 days, which allows obtaining a crop in average terms. Heads are conical in shape, of medium density, weighing from 1.5 to 2.5 kg, light green in color with a medium-sized stalk. The variety is valued for high yield, uniformity of heads, and excellent taste qualities both fresh and pickled. It has high frost and drought resistance, as well as low fiber content, making the cabbage tender and pleasant to consume.
