Tobacco variety SV‑13 (SV‑13) – a skeleton variety for shade-cured tobacco, created based on the hybrid Berli 21 × Sobolchskiy 193 and Pridnestrovsky 5. This is a mid-season variety: the period from planting to flowering is 76 days, and the ripening time is 56–73 days.
The bush has a conical shape with a height of about 1.2 m (up to 187 cm in some sources). On average, the bush has 22‑24 technical leaves. The leaf is oval-elongated with a sharply pointed tip and a wavy surface; the dimensions of the middle tier are approximately 49×28 cm, color – green with yellowing at maturity.
SV‑13 is characterized by resistance to downy mildew (Blue Mold), sunscald, and stem curing. The raw material is brown in color, with a medium-strength tobacco aroma. The variety belongs to Western post-Soviet breeding and is intended for the production of shade-cured cigarette tobacco.
