Iris Déjà Vu

Ukrainian breeding with a sunny personality

The 'Deja Vu' iris is the result of dedicated work by breeders at the Pryluky Experimental Station of the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS. This variety is a prime example of adaptive Ukrainian breeding, developed with local climatic conditions in mind. Unlike imported, high-maintenance varieties, 'Deja Vu' demonstrates high resistance to unpredictable spring temperature fluctuations and typical root diseases prevalent in our latitudes.

Color palette and morphology

The visual appearance of 'Deja Vu' justifies its name, evoking a sense of recognizable elegance. The petals combine saturated shades of yellow and orange, creating an internal glow effect. This color scheme makes the variety a favorite for creating focal points in landscape design.

Applications in agribusiness and landscaping

• Landscaping: The variety is perfectly suited for creating borders and vibrant patches in open spaces. Due to its strong stem, it does not require constant staking.
• Cut flowers: The high density of the petal tissue and excellent vase life allow 'Deja Vu' to be used in professional floristry. The flowers retain their turgor and color intensity for an extended period after cutting, which is a critical benchmark for commercial-grade crops.

The reputation of this variety is built on the predictability of its blooming period and the stability of its traits. It is a choice for those seeking a balance between aesthetic appeal and agronomic reliability, backed by the expertise of a state-run scientific institution.
