Tobacco Ukrainian New

Field Performance of the "Ukrainskyi Novyi" Variety

For tobacco growers focused on efficiency, the "Ukrainskyi Novyi" variety by Iksgp Naan serves as a reliable workhorse. In local climatic conditions, this variety exhibits predictable growth patterns, which is essential for managing the cycle from seedling transplanting to final leaf curing.

Growth and Handling

With plant heights reaching 180–200 cm, field management requires careful row planning to accommodate the plant's significant size. From an operator's perspective, providing proper support and avoiding overcrowding is key to maintaining airflow and leaf quality. The crop responds well to timely fertilization, though maintaining balanced soil moisture is critical during the peak vegetative phase to avoid leaf damage.

Operational Advantages

• Maintenance: The variety features strong natural immunity, significantly reducing the frequency and cost of fungicide applications.
• Harvesting: The structure and density of the leaves make harvesting straightforward, whether performed manually or with machinery.
• Processing: The leaves are well-suited for air-curing, which eliminates the need for expensive climate-controlled drying chambers and simplifies post-harvest logistics.

If you are looking for a variety that performs consistently under standard management practices and produces a reliable yield without requiring complex equipment or excessive chemical inputs, the "Ukrainskyi Novyi" is a proven solution.
