Duke

The winter rapeseed hybrid Duke from the brand DSV is a mid-early maturing variety with early flowering, successfully adapted to various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine and Europe. Plants are characterized by above-average height and high oil content, ensuring high oil yield from seeds. Duke features a traditional herbicide protection system and resistance to major diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, and cylindrosporiosis, as well as lodging and pod cracking resistance, which contributes to yield preservation and quality improvement.

A key feature of the hybrid is its rapid and vigorous growth of both above-ground and underground plant parts. Within the first 45 days of vegetation, a strong root system and a dense rosette of leaves with numerous bud primordia are formed, providing high resistance to adverse conditions and promoting stable, high yields. Thanks to these characteristics, sowing periods can be extended, including later sowing, which increases agronomic flexibility.

Duke has high cold and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones. The hybrid efficiently utilizes nitrogen, positively affecting plant development and yield. Additionally, it is resistant to turnip yellow virus (TuYV) and exhibits field tolerance to verticillium wilt, further enhancing its agronomic value and economic efficiency for farmers.
