Suri is an ultra-early sunflower hybrid with a vegetation period of 74-78 days, allowing effective use for obtaining a second crop per year. It is characterized by high productivity and resistance to lodging, ensuring a stable harvest. The oil content of the seeds is about 50%, and the potential oil yield reaches 1.8-3 tons per hectare, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.
The Suri hybrid exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including downy mildew (races A-E), false powdery mildew, Phomopsis, stem rot, and Alternaria. Additionally, it is resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides, enabling the use of modern plant protection technologies according to the Sumo (ExpressSun) system. The variety also demonstrates good resistance to drought and frost, expanding its cultivation possibilities in various climatic conditions.
Suri is suitable for cultivation in a wide range of regions, including the Central, Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and East Siberian regions of Russia, as well as in Ukraine and CIS countries. The seeds are dark gray in color, medium-sized, with approximately 150,000 seeds per package, which is convenient for sowing and ensures high germination.
