Description SKORMAS
The SKORMAS sunflower variety is a medium-early and early-maturing oilseed hybrid developed in the selection laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution VNIIMK. It is characterized by uniform plant height, synchronized flowering and ripening, as well as improved flower position. Plant height ranges from 142 to 151 cm, and the 1000-seed mass varies from 45.5 to 60 g depending on planting density. The vegetative period lasts approximately 115 days, ensuring timely harvest maturity. SKORMAS exhibits high productivity and is adapted to cultivation under drought conditions. Potential yield reaches 32 centners per hectare, with seed oil content around 51%, enabling the production of up to 1.5 tons of oil per hectare. The variety is suitable for various planting types, including main, fallow, and intercropping, making it a versatile choice for farmers. One of its key advantages is resistance to several diseases, including white rot, false powdery mildew, gray and dry rot, as well as moderate resistance to Phomopsis. This significantly reduces the risk of crop loss and enhances production stability. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, Lower Volga, and Ural regions, where it demonstrates high yield and reliability.
