Hybrid sunflower SF 128 is a mid-early, high-oleic, intensive type variety, intended for cultivation in various soil-climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions. The plant is of medium height (160-190 cm), without branching, with medium-sized green leaves of minimal blistering and fine serration. The flower head is medium-sized, downward-facing, with a curved stem, and the seeds are narrowly oval-shaped with a black base color and gray stripes. The average yield of the hybrid varies depending on the region and conditions, reaching up to 30 centners per hectare in some cases, with oil content in seeds around 45%, and a high level of oleic acid (86-87%), ensuring improved oil quality and its resistance to oxidation even under unfavorable storage and harvesting conditions. SF 128 exhibits high resistance to downy mildew (races A-D) and high competitiveness, especially in areas with insufficient moisture. The hybrid is characterized by stable productivity and adaptability, making it suitable for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and forested zones. High drought and heat tolerance, along with a well-developed root system and strong stems, provide resistance to lodging and shattering, contributing to yield retention and improved quality. The vegetative period of the hybrid ranges from 90 to 120 days depending on growing conditions, allowing flexible planning of sowing and harvest dates. The optimal planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare.
