Sunflower SF-187 is a medium-early simple hybrid intended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, as well as adapted to various agroclimatic conditions of Ukraine, including southern and eastern regions. The hybrid’s vegetation period is 105–110 days, allowing for a stable harvest at optimal times. Plants reach a height of 160–170 cm, and the flat head has a diameter up to 23 cm. Seeds are large, black, with a thousand-seed weight of about 63 grams, ensuring high oil content at 51–52%.
The hybrid is characterized by high productivity with potential yields exceeding 5.2 tons per hectare. It exhibits genetic resistance to five races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E) and demonstrates high resistance to several diseases, including white and gray mold, rust, powdery mildew, septoria, fomosis, and fomopsis. Additionally, SF-187 shows high resistance to seed shattering, lodging, and drought, as well as good cold tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under variable climatic conditions.
Sunflower SF-187 is cultivated using conventional technology and is available in standard and extra fractions. Its high adaptability to stress factors and agroclimatic zones, along with stable oil content and yield performance, make this hybrid attractive to farmers seeking high-quality, high-yield crops. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units, convenient for large-scale sowing.
