Salsa RM is a mid-season sunflower hybrid of French selection by the company Euralis, intended for conventional cultivation technology. The vegetation period is approximately 105-112 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions in Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 184 cm and have a semi-tilted head with a diameter of 21 cm, promoting effective yield formation. The 1000-seed mass is 61 grams, and the potential yield may reach 50 centners per hectare. The oil content in the seeds is consistently high — around 50%. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stress factors. It has maximum resistance to Phomopsis (10 points), as well as good resistance to sclerotinia and phomosis (7 points each). The stem lodging resistance level is rated at 7 points, and stress tolerance at 6 points. Additionally, Salsa RM demonstrates resistance to races A-E of the downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of parasite damage and enhancing yield stability. The recommended seeding density varies by region: 65-70 thousand seeds per hectare for forest-steppe areas, and 60-65 thousand seeds per hectare for steppe regions. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability, the Salsa RM hybrid is suitable for cultivation across all of Ukraine, ensuring high oil content and stable yields. This hybrid combines reliability, high productivity, and resistance to adverse conditions, making it a profitable choice for agricultural producers.
