Sunflower Queen

Stability and Field Performance

Choosing the 'Queen' (Kvin) sunflower variety, developed by the V. Y. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is a strategic move for growers seeking predictable results. This variety is designed for intensive farming systems, where reliable genetic potential is the foundation of high productivity.

Operational and Agronomic Insights

With a height of 150–160 cm, the plants possess an optimal architecture for modern harvesting equipment. This moderate stature ensures structural integrity, minimizing lodging risks even in challenging weather conditions such as high winds or storms. For the field operator, this means less downtime and lower grain loss during the harvesting phase.

Key Operational Advantages

• Adaptive Capability: The variety exhibits significant resilience to heat and moisture stress, maintaining metabolic health during critical growth stages.
• Management Efficiency: Uniform crop development facilitates easier scouting and monitoring, allowing for precise application of inputs.
• Disease Tolerance: Strong resistance to common sunflower pathogens reduces the need for aggressive fungicide programs, lowering overall production costs per hectare.

Operating with 'Queen' provides peace of mind. It performs consistently across diverse soil types commonly found in Ukraine. By minimizing the complexity of the crop management cycle, this variety serves as a robust and efficient asset in any modern crop rotation scheme.
