P 55 60 — this is a high-yielding intensive sunflower hybrid developed for sustainable cultivation under various climatic conditions. It exhibits high resistance to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (SU), as well as to new races of the parasitic weed Russian thistle (A-G+). The hybrid is characterized by high stability and drought tolerance, making it especially valuable for regions with limited water supply. Yield potential reaches 5.5 tons per hectare, with oil content in seeds around 54-55%, ensuring high economic efficiency.
Plants of the hybrid reach a height of 160-170 cm, have a medium-early vegetative period of 100-110 days, and form flower heads with a diameter of approximately 17.8 cm, convex in shape and semi-tilted. Seeds have a thousand-grain weight of approximately 48-56 grams, depending on the fraction, allowing the hybrid to be used in various agronomic schemes. The recommended seeding density at harvest is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, which is optimal for forest-steppe and steppe zones. The hybrid is adapted to Express cultivation technology and is suitable for preceding crops such as potato, corn, and winter wheat.
P 55 60 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including sclerotinia, fusarium, and fusarium wilt, and demonstrates good resistance to lodging and cold tolerance down to -4°C. A strong root system ensures efficient uptake of water and nutrients, promoting rapid early growth and high yield. Seeds are supplied in packages of 150,000 units and require storage at a temperature of +7-10°C with humidity not exceeding 7%. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine and is produced in accordance with high-quality standards.
