Sunflower PTK24G

Adaptability to Extreme Conditions

The PTK24G hybrid, introduced by the Romanian breeding company INNOVIA Genetics srl, enters the Ukrainian market in 2025 as a response to the challenges of climate change. The primary focus during the development of this F1 hybrid was stability under moisture deficit conditions, making it a strategic choice for farms operating in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.

Field Performance and Resilience

In field conditions, PTK24G demonstrates high plasticity. The hybrid's genetic potential allows it to efficiently utilize limited soil moisture reserves during critical development phases, minimizing the risk of yield loss during drought periods. A key characteristic is its resistance to lodging: a sturdy stalk maintains a vertical position even under strong winds, which significantly simplifies harvesting and reduces grain losses.

• Heat Tolerance: The hybrid maintains metabolic activity at extremely high temperatures, preventing premature wilting.
• Phytosanitary Profile: INNOVIA Genetics' breeding program is focused on comprehensive protection against the most common pathogens typical for the SL (Steppe/Forest-Steppe) zones.
• Agrotechnological Flexibility: The hybrid responds well to intensive cultivation technologies while maintaining predictable productivity under extensive management.

Choosing PTK24G for the 2025 planting season is a commitment to European breeding adapted to the specifics of Ukrainian agro-climatic zones, where drought is becoming the defining factor of profitability.
