Rapeseed Desperado

German genetics for stable yields

The «Desperado» rapeseed variety from Deutsche Saatveredelung embodies the classic German approach to creating high-yielding hybrids. The breeder from Lippstadt has focused on adaptability, making this hybrid highly sought after by farmers across various European climatic zones.

Agronomic potential and features

The success of «Desperado» is rooted in a strong genetic potential aimed at overcoming common rapeseed cultivation challenges, ranging from autumn frosts to spring temperature fluctuations. Deutsche Saatveredelung consistently invests in developing hybrids with high initial development intensity, which is critical for establishing a robust root system.

• Yield stability: «Desperado» exhibits excellent lodging resistance, which simplifies harvesting and minimizes grain loss.
• Technological performance: The hybrid is responsive to intensive fertilization programs and requires professional disease management, typical for most modern products of German breeding.
• Growth energy: Vigorous rosette development in the autumn allows the crop to efficiently utilize available moisture and nutrients.

Choosing this hybrid is a choice for predictability. In an era of changing climate, farmers prefer solutions that deliver consistent results over multiple seasons. «Desperado» has proven to be a valuable tool for growers aiming to achieve high oil yields per hectare while maintaining strict cost control.
