Sunflower P64LE121 is a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid developed for cultivation using the herbicide Granstar. It exhibits high resistance to seven strains of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E, F, G), as well as drought tolerance and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. The hybrid’s vegetative period is 110–115 days, classifying it as a mid-early maturing variety. Plants reach heights of 145 to 180 cm and have flat or slightly convex heads positioned semi-vertically.
The hybrid features a high oil content in seeds — approximately 50% — making it attractive for the oilseed industry. The 1000-seed weight ranges between 60–70 grams, and germination rates reach 95%. Additionally, seeds contain about 15% protein. P64LE121 demonstrates high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, fusarium wilt, white and gray rot, rust, and resistance to new strains of downy mildew.
Recommended cultivation zones for this hybrid are the forest-steppe and steppe regions of Ukraine, where it has the potential to yield up to 5 tons per hectare (50 centners per hectare). Due to its strong stem and high resistance to pests, including the horizontal form of the sunflower moth (System II), P64LE121 is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality, stable sunflower yields with high oil content.
