NK Meldimi

The hybrid sunflower NK Meldimi, developed by Syngenta (Netherlands), is a mid-late maturing variety with plant height ranging from 160 to 190 cm. This hybrid belongs to the extensive type and is characterized by high adaptability to various natural zones, including forest-steppe and steppe. It is suitable for cultivation on diverse soil types and can be successfully grown using minimal or zero tillage, which simplifies agronomic operations and reduces costs.

NK Meldimi exhibits high drought resistance and moderate disease tolerance, including resistance to race A-E of downy mildew and tolerance to race F, as well as resistance to false powdery mildew. The hybrid demonstrates good resistance to Phomopsis and various forms of white and gray mold, ensuring stable yields. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on soil moisture levels: from 40,000 to 55,000 plants per hectare.

A key feature of NK Meldimi is its high yield potential, reaching up to 4.5 tons per hectare, as well as a high oleic acid content (94%) and oil content in seeds at 54%. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow optimal sowing dates, practice crop rotation, avoid planting after legumes and rapeseed, and effectively control weeds. The hybrid is resistant to herbicides using Clearfield technology, enabling the use of modern plant protection methods and increasing production efficiency.
