Description MAS 87 A
MAS 87 A is a mid-season linoleic sunflower hybrid with a vegetative period of 112-116 days. Plants are tall with slightly convex and slightly inclined heads. The 1000-seed weight is 60-65 grams, and oil content reaches 50%, making this hybrid attractive for obtaining high-quality raw material. The hybrid's yield potential is very high, reaching 50 centners per hectare.

The hybrid exhibits excellent adaptability to various growing conditions and stable productivity regardless of climatic factors. Recommended planting zones include the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, as well as areas such as Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv. For optimal germination, seed material should be sown at a soil temperature of 10-12 degrees Celsius to a depth of 8-10 cm.

MAS 87 A has excellent phytosanitary status and high resistance to common sunflower diseases. The hybrid is tolerant to head and stem mold, Phomopsis, false powdery mildew (RM9), verticillium wilt, stem and head rot, and downy mildew (5 races A-E). In addition, it demonstrates high drought and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields even under stress conditions.
