Sunflower MAS 900SU

Reliable Results with MAS 900SU

When working with Mas Seeds hybrids, predictability is key. The MAS 900SU is a simple sunflower hybrid that effectively manages weed pressure through the Clearfield (EURO-LIGHTNING) technology. For the operator, this translates into cleaner fields with fewer cultivation passes and reduced stress on the crop.

Field Performance and Growth

With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, planning the harvest season becomes straightforward. The plants reach a height of 190–200 cm, which simplifies combine header adjustments and minimizes grain loss. The head is slightly convex, providing stable grain filling and consistent threshing performance.

Protection and Yield Quality

This hybrid shows impressive resilience against common pathogens. During field observations, it has demonstrated solid resistance to Verticillium, Phomopsis, rust, powdery mildew, and Sclerotinia. With an oil content of 50–55%, it remains a highly profitable choice for commercial production.

• Technology: Fully compatible with the EURO-LIGHTNING system.
• Stability: High resistance to key fungal diseases.
• Harvest: Optimal plant height and uniform head shape for efficient harvesting.

French breeding from Mas Seeds in this form offers a perfect balance between plant health and grain quality. For the agronomist, the focus remains on calculating the correct seeding density to maximize the potential of this hybrid.
