Description SY Cadix
SY Cadix — medium-early classic sunflower hybrid developed by Syngenta. It has a vegetation period of about 115 days and average plant height of 150 to 160 cm, which may vary depending on soil moisture. The hybrid belongs to a moderately intensive type and exhibits high plasticity, allowing it to successfully adapt to adverse weather conditions and demonstrate excellent drought resistance.

One of the key features of SY Cadix is its high resistance to new races of sunflower moth (groups A-G+), making it especially valuable in regions with a high risk of infestation by this pest. The recommended planting density is 35-50 thousand plants per hectare, while it is important to avoid overcrowding and not to sow the hybrid after leguminous crops to achieve maximum productivity. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 5 tons per hectare, and oil content in the seeds is high — up to 49%.

SY Cadix is suitable for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, where it shows stable and high yields. The seeds are treated with Cruiser, providing additional plant protection. Thanks to its combination of disease resistance, drought tolerance, pest resistance, and high oil content, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower crop.
